Baroro Terms of Service

1. Purpose and Agreement

These Terms of Service govern access to and use of Baroro (the "Service"), provided by 임재웅(the "Operator"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and the policies incorporated by reference.

2. The Service

Baroro is a web-novel writing workspace that provides manuscript editing, feedback, continuity assistance, and Wiki maintenance. Artificial intelligence acts as an editing and support tool. The Service does not automatically publish your manuscript or complete a creative work on your behalf.

3. Changes to These Terms

If these Terms must change because of law or a material change to the Service, the Operator will state the effective date and reason for the change at least seven days in advance. Material or unfavorable changes will generally be announced at least 30 days in advance, and fresh consent will be obtained when required by law. If you do not agree, you may cancel your subscription and close your account before the revised Terms take effect.

4. Eligibility and Age

The Service is available only to users who are 19 years of age or older. Baroro does not permit use by individuals under 19.

During sign-up, users must confirm that they are 19 years of age or older. The Operator records this confirmation, its timestamp, and the applicable policy version to the extent necessary for service operation and dispute resolution.

If a user falsely attests to their age or is found to be under 19, the Operator may refuse registration or restrict, suspend, or terminate service access.

5. Account Security

You are responsible for safeguarding your authentication methods and for activity under your account. Notify the Operator promptly if you suspect unauthorized use. The Operator may take reasonable steps to protect accounts, comply with law, and prevent fraud or abuse.

6. Your Content and Intellectual Property

You retain your rights in manuscripts, prompts, files, and other material that you submit to the Service ("User Content"). You grant the Operator a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, transmit, reproduce, and process User Content only as necessary to operate, secure, and support the Service. The Operator does not use User Content to train Baroro proprietary models.

If you provide separate consent, inputs and AI outputs transmitted to OpenAI in the course of using AI features may additionally be processed by OpenAI for usage pattern analysis, model quality evaluation, and future model evaluation, training, and improvement.

Consent for OpenAI Data Sharing is obtained separately from general agreement to these Terms, and you may change your data sharing preference for future requests at any time in Service Settings.

You must have the rights and permissions necessary to submit and use User Content. You are responsible for backing up material that is important to you and for reviewing content before publication.

7. External AI Providers and AI Output

AI features may be delivered through an external AI processor. The current processor and details of any international transfer are listed in the Privacy Policy. AI output may be incomplete, inaccurate, unavailable, unsuitable for a particular purpose, or similar to third-party content. No guarantee is made that AI output is error-free or does not affect third-party rights.

AI output is not automatically published outside the Service. You must review it and obtain any necessary rights or professional advice before using, disclosing, or publishing it.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Operator transfers to you any rights in AI output that would otherwise vest in the Operator, and does not claim independent ownership over your use of AI output.

However, the Operator does not guarantee that AI output qualifies for copyright or other intellectual property protection, that you will hold exclusive rights, or that it is free of third-party rights. Due to the nature of generative AI, identical or similar outputs may be generated for other users.

8. Prohibited Conduct

You may not use the Service to violate law or third-party rights, create or transmit unlawful or harmful material, compromise security, access another person's account, bypass safeguards or usage limits, reverse engineer protected parts of the Service, or place an unreasonable automated load on the Service.

9. Suspension and Termination

The Operator may warn you, remove content, restrict access, or terminate an account when reasonably necessary to address prohibited conduct, a security risk, fraud, or a lawful request. Unless urgent action or law prevents notice, the Operator will provide the reason and an available way to object.

10. Basic and Creator Subscriptions

Basic and Creator are automatically renewing subscriptions. Basic provides up to 1,000 AI allowance units per billing cycle, and Creator provides up to 3,500 units. Both plans include up to 10 works and unlimited installments. Current prices, currency, tax, catalog version, renewal date, and payment method are controlled by the server catalog and shown in Lemon Squeezy Checkout before payment. AI allowance is usable only in the Service, is non-transferable, has no cash value, and does not roll over. Sold through Link, LLC f/k/a Lemon Squeezy LLC ("Lemon Squeezy") is the Merchant of Record for the payment transaction. By paying, you enter into the purchase contract with Lemon Squeezy, while Baroro, as the supplier, provides the purchased digital Service. The final price, currency, taxes, renewal date, and payment method are shown in Lemon Squeezy Checkout before payment.

Paid-plan access begins only after payment and entitlement are confirmed. The subscription renews for the same period and the stored payment method is charged until you cancel. A price increase will be communicated in advance, and consent will be obtained where required by law.

11. Subscription Cancellation and Account Closure

You may cancel automatic renewal at any time through Billing in Settings, the "Manage subscription" link in your Lemon Squeezy purchase email, or Lemon Squeezy Buyer Support. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will not be charged for a later period and may continue using the paid-plan features until the period ends.

You can also cancel automatic subscription renewal directly within the Baroro account withdrawal process. Upon completion of account closure, service access ends immediately and account and content data are scheduled for deletion, except for records required to be retained by law or for legitimate dispute resolution.

12. Service Changes and Availability

The Operator may maintain, modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service when reasonably necessary for security, reliability, legal compliance, or product operation. Where practical, advance notice will be provided for a material planned interruption.

13. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Operator limits responsibility for loss caused by your review or publication decisions, a payment provider, or circumstances outside the Operator's reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability arising from intentional misconduct or gross negligence.

14. Privacy

The collection, use, retention, deletion, and international transfer of personal information are described in the Privacy Notice.

15. Withdrawals, Refunds, and Support

Baroro manually reviews a full-refund request when it is made within seven days of the transaction and 50 or fewer AI allowance units from that payment's linked period have been confirmed as used. We do not offer partial or automatic refunds under this commercial policy. This policy does not limit non-waivable consumer rights under applicable law. Billing errors, duplicate charges, charges after cancellation, or a Service that materially differs from its contract should be reported regardless of the time or usage threshold. Lemon Squeezy's Buyer Terms and any more favorable mandatory right prevail. An approved refund ends the related Lemon subscription entitlement permanently and closes its linked AI allowance period. Unused allowance in that period is no longer available. See the Cancellation and Refund Policy for instructions and exceptions.

16. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes should first be addressed through good-faith discussion. If they cannot be resolved, they will be submitted to a court with jurisdiction under applicable Korean procedural law. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights.
